Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit work that features my mother tongue?

Of course! We highly encourage this.

The only thing we ask for is that submissions with other languages in should be written in the transliterated version.

E.g. writing a word from one language in the script of another language, based on how it sounds like Samajh My Gal.

Will magazine issues be available to buy physically and digitally?

Both!

But physical copies may be limited because of the way that the print runs will work so if you’d like a physical copy, it’s best to buy one straight away!

Can those who live in South Asian countries submit/ pitch to the magazine?

Not at the moment. The magazine’s main focus is dual heritage, South Asians.

However, we are looking at ways to implement this in the future so we have a range of POVs!

What happens after we’ve submitted our work to the Open Call?

Sit back and relax whilst we…

  • Read / consult your submission

  • Send out emails

  • Transition into designing the magazine!
